Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest.
Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am meek and humble of heart;
and you will find rest for yourselves.
For my yoke is easy, and my burden light.
This is Jesus' invitation to discipleship in Matthew 11:28-30.

Join Bishop Gerald Kicanas and Deacon Ed Sheffer as the group explores the
significant impact Ireland has had on our Catholic faith. Ireland is known as the land of
saints and scholars. Much of our Catholic identity was preserved in the monasteries of
Ireland through the Middle Ages. It is a beautiful country filled with charm.
Scotland is equally one of the most beautiful places in the world. It is the land of
fairies, castles, and impossibly nice people. Its landscape is lush and dramatic. The Catholic
Church’s history here is rich and complex.
Incredible memories of people and places await. Draw ever closer to God on this
faith-filled pilgrimage.
May the road rise up to meet you May the wind be ever at your back May the sunshine warm upon your face The rains fall soft upon your fields Until we meet again, may God hold you In the palm of His hand. (Traditional Irish Blessing) |
Be thou a bright flame before me Be thou a guiding star above me Be thou a smooth path below Be thou kindly shepherd behind me Today, tonight and forever. (St. Columba) |
