significant impact Ireland has had on our Catholic faith. Ireland is known as the land of
saints and scholars. Much of our Catholic identity was preserved in the monasteries of
Ireland through the Middle Ages. It is a beautiful country filled with charm.
Scotland is equally one of the most beautiful places in the world. It is the land of
fairies, castles, and impossibly nice people. Its landscape is lush and dramatic. The Catholic
Church’s history here is rich and complex.
