Go, therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded of you. And behold I am with you always, until the end of the age.
This is our Catholic mandate as found in Matthew 28:19-20/New American Bible.

The encyclical Fratelli Tutti (published on October 4, 2020) is a summary of Pope Francis’ vision for social justice, calling upon Christians and all people of good will to work together in “acknowledging the dignity of each human person” and to “contribute to the rebirth of a universal aspiration of fraternity” (no. 8). To that end, Pope Francis grounds his reflection in the Parable of the Good Samaritan, calling us to be women and men who “identify with the vulnerability of others, who reject the creation of a society of exclusion, and act instead as neighbors, lifting up and rehabilitating the fallen for the sake of the common good.” (no. 67). In this workshop, Bishop Gerald F. Kicanas, bishop emeritus of Tucson, will reflect on the implications of Fratelli Tutti, highlighting how the spirit of fraternity and social friendship called for by Pope Francis is at the heart of the vocation of deacons and the ministry of service.
The cost for this online workshop is $15. To register and pay online, click the “To Register” tab and proceed to your CART in the upper-left corner of your screen to complete registration process. In 2016 Pope Francis released Amoris Laetitia (“The Joy of Love”), his post-synodal exhortation on the theme of “love in the family.” In this three-part series, Karen Brady, MRE, MEd, will lead couples through discussions and reflections based on this groundbreaking document. The sessions will focus on 1) The Nature and Meaning of Love, 2) Contemporary Challenges to Marriage, and 3) and the Spirituality of Marriage. Remembering Pope Francis’ own reflection that growth in love “can only occur if we respond to God’s grace through constant acts of love, acts of kindness that become ever more frequent, intense, generous, tender, and cheerful” (Amoris Laetitia, no. 134), the goal of this series is to help married couples and couples considering marriage to enter more deeply into the mystery of love and how God works in and through those relationships we hold most dear.
The cost for the workshop is $30. The session will be held via ZOOM (the required link and any additional materials will be emailed to registered participants before the session); register on or before January 30.
