Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest.
Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am meek and humble of heart;
and you will find rest for yourselves.
For my yoke is easy, and my burden light.
This is Jesus' invitation to discipleship in Matthew 11:28-30.
Father Patrick M. Crino, Pastor
More Than Words is a St. Thomas the Apostle Parish Catholic Social Justice and Community Service Group. Its mission is to grow together, in community - as high school teens for others - through a process of action and reflection. Members are dedicated to making Tucson a better place through discussions of complex issues and real-world application by going out into the Tucson community and beyond, to demonstrate that following God's teachings involves more than just reading words.
“Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.”
James 2:17
Group meets on the first and third Wednesdays of each month:
5:30 - 6:15 PM
O'Leary Hall
2022 - 2023's focus will be on Matthew Kelly’s book, The Generosity Habit. Gatherings include guest speakers, videos and discussions on social issues and ways we can help others through our actions.
