Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest.
Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am meek and humble of heart;
and you will find rest for yourselves.
For my yoke is easy, and my burden light.
This is Jesus' invitation to discipleship in Matthew 11:28-30.
Father Patrick M. Crino, Pastor
In 1988, the Catholic bishops of the United States directed that adults becoming Catholic use the process set forth in the Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults: RCIA. It stresses the connection among the three sacraments of Christian initiation: Baptism, Confirmation and the Eucharist. During the Easter Vigil service each year, the elect are welcomed into the Church and receive these sacraments.
The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults is a restoration of the ancient practice of initiation in the Church that welcomes and forms adults in the way of Jesus as it is lived in the Catholic tradition. This process is divided into stages each with its own distinctive focus; for learning, praying and a spiritual growth that respects and supports the individuals' journey in faith.

The Sacrament of Confirmation builds on what was begun in Baptism and what was nourished in Holy Eucharist. It completes the process of initiation into the Christian community and it matures the soul for the spiritual work ahead. These sessions are for adults who have been baptized Catholic and made their First Holy Communion.
Online registration for the 2024 Fall Adult Confirmation Class is now open (see registration link below).
Rob Weierman will facilitate eight 90-minute sessions beginning Sunday, September 15 from 1:00 - 2:30 PM.
Confirmands will be confirmed at St. Augustine Cathedral at 5:00 PM Mass on DATE TBD.
