Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest.
Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am meek and humble of heart;
and you will find rest for yourselves.
For my yoke is easy, and my burden light.
This is Jesus' invitation to discipleship in Matthew 11:28-30.

XLT (exalt) is a monthly evening of prayer/devotion open to our entire parish community and includes praise and worship, a message and Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament; It is open to all - on designated Sunday evenings from 6:30 - 8:00 PM in the Chuch.* It is an opportunity to pray in community; deepen your relationship with Jesus, with God! This is what distinguishes XLT from our adoration chapel, the community - each one of you!
While receiving Jesus in the Eucharist at Mass is the most powerful encounter we can have with our Lord, Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament is an incredible opportunity to grow in relationship with Him. This is why we have Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, to prolong the time we spend with Jesus in the Eucharist, because we desire for more time with Him.
XLT combines praise and worship, a message proclaiming the Word of God and Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, where Jesus, present in the Eucharist, is placed on the altar for us to adore.
Praise and worship is a powerful form of prayer since music has a way of reaching into the depths of our hearts. When we praise God, walls around our hearts come crashing down. When we sing to Him, every part of our being reaches out to God, who is reaching back to us to embrace us.
XLT begins with praise and worship so our gaze may be fixed on God and surrender to Him. Next, there is time spent time listening to a message, giving participants something to reflect on, and allowing God to speak to every person present on the focus of the message. Finally, attendees adore our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament, interspersing praise and silence. To grow in any relationship is to learn to give and receive, to speak and to listen. This is why both praise and silence are important, we sing to God our love for Him, and in the silence, He speaks His love to us. Finally, those present are sent out with a song of thanksgiving for what God has done for His people, but most importantly for who He is and His love for us, so that all may carry that gratitude and continue to deepen that relationship in their everyday lives.
Those who cannot join in person and instead join through live stream may still praise God, listen to the message and spend time in prayer during the time of adoration.
In every season of life, God calls us to seek a deeper relationship with God, and this event is our opportunity for that.
